This is the ideal course to provide students with the skills needed to create construction documents with AutoCAD MEP that are reflective of industry standards and expectations. The course focuses on the rationale and practicality of AutoCAD MEP and emphasizes the process of creating projects, rather than a series of independent commands and tools. Tools are introduced together in a focused process, with a strong emphasis on "why" as well as "how". This course will provide students with a clear sense of the value of the tools and a clear indication of each tool's potential. This course designed to shorten students learning curve, raise their comfort level and, most importantly, give them real life tested practical advice on using the software to create mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs and calculations.
Project and Tools Essentials*
This course is designed for the AutoCAD MEP user who wants to learn how to implement projects, styles, and scheduling with AutoCAD MEP. This course uses hands-on exercises to teach students how to use the Content Builder, work with templates, configure the display, and work productively using AutoCAD MEP.
Piping and Plumbing
This module is designed for the new AutoCAD MEP user who requires comprehensive training in the Piping and Plumbing modules. It incorporates the features, tools, and techniques for creating and editing piping and plumbing designs with AutoCAD MEP. Hands-on exercises teach how to create 3D production drawings while designing in 2D.
This course provides comprehensive AutoCAD MEP training on how to design, model, and make construction documents of electrical distribution systems used in commercial buildings. The hands-on exercises cover how to design and draw electrical lighting and power systems and how to turn them into quality construction documents using AutoCAD MEP.
This course is designed for the AutoCAD MEP user who wants to learn how to implement a mechanical HVAC system using AutoCAD MEP. This course uses hands-on exercises to teach students how to determine energy requirements, add HVAC equipment, ductwork, and fittings, and create construction documents using AutoCAD MEP.
